Project Overview: Madrassa for Men
In Burkina Faso, West Africa, we have made significant progress on an important project, including the successful establishment of a fully operational madrasa named Sayyidina Abu Bakr As-Siddiq رضي الله عنه, exclusively for males. This facility now serves as a vital center for Islamic learning and personal development for men in the community.
What’s Next?
While the madrasa is operational, there is still more to complete, including the purchase of essential items such as tables, chairs, and other key educational resources. These are crucial for creating a sustainable and conducive learning environment that will support the students in building a strong foundation for their knowledge and shaping a brighter future.
Prophetic Tradition: Sadaqah Jariyah
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Muslim]. This is a valuable opportunity to fulfill this beautiful narration from the greatest of creation ﷺ.
