Project Overview: Madrassa for Women

In Burkina Faso, West Africa, we have made significant progress on an important project, including the successful establishment of a fully operational madrasa, named Sayyidina Abu Bakr As-Siddiq رضي الله عنه, for males. The external structure for the female madrassah, named Sayyidina A’ishah رضي الله عنها, has been built but now needs to be finalised.

The Importance of Inclusivity

However, it is crucial that women also have access to this fundamental opportunity. While the external structure for a madrasa dedicated to young girls and women is already complete, our focus now is on finishing this vital space, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of education.

What’s Next?

There is still much to complete in finalising this project, including the purchase of essential items like tables, chairs, and other key educational resources. These are crucial to creating a sustainable, conducive learning environment that supports students in laying a strong foundation for their knowledge and building a brighter future.
There is an urgent need for educational and developmental resources for females in this community, and this madrasa will provide a safe, supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. Education is not a privilege—it’s a fundamental right.

Prophetic Tradition: Sadaqah Jariyah

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Muslim]. This is a valuable opportunity to fulfil this beautiful narration from the greatest of creation ﷺ.

Beyond Education: Building Community and Unity

In addition to providing quality Islamic education, the madrasa will serve as a vibrant hub for community events, including Eid celebrations, Ramadan gatherings, and other joyful occasions that foster unity and support.

Your Role: Catalyst for Change

By contributing to this project, you are not only empowering young girls but also enriching the entire community with lifelong memories and invaluable opportunities for personal and educational growth. In a region where such chances are scarce, your donations will be the catalyst for change, helping bring this vision to life.
